How to immigrate to Bahrain – Immigration Regulations

Visa for Bahrain can be obtained by individuals other than citizens of GCC counties who wish to enter Bahrain. These Visa are issued, based on the following criteria. 

• Purpose of the visit
• Sponsored/unsponsored visas
• Standard or e-visa
• Single or multiple Entries
• Place of issue

Basically Visas are divided into 3 types: 

• C Type (Short-Term)
• D Type (Long-Term)
• Transit Visa 

Visitors from near about 209 countries can avail e-Visa for Bahrain. Check if you are from a country eligible for an e-visa on evisa.gov.bh. If your country is not listed for eligibility of an e-visa than you are required to apply for a visa in your home country from a Bahrain Embassy, travel agency or a Bahraini Sponsor. 

Citizens of Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE), do not require a visa for visiting Bahrain for short-term stay in Bahrain especially for tourism. Citizens from the following countries/zones require visa to visit Bahrain for tourism purpose:

• All Asian countries
• All African countries
• Central American & the Caribbean
• South & North America
• Oceania, and European countries
