14. Health insurance abroad
Check carefully the health care in the destination country from the outset. What service at what cost and in what quality is standard there? What are the differences to your current home?
For the actual move, take out international travel health insurance.
One Question To Have Answered: Will you be automatically covered by health care in the new country when you arrive, or will it be 90 days or more before you will be eligible for free medical treatment?
In the latter case, you should definitely take out temporary international health insurance. This enables them to bridge gaps in supply.
